Active in Brussels

Camouflage Brussels, the European satellite of the centre of contemporary art of southern, east and West Africa, runs an exhibition space of 300 m2 and has been operational since December 1999. The satellite was established to create a network enabling African artists to get out of their isolation and to motivate the public and private actors in Europe to participate actively in the centre’s projects in collaboration with our African partners.
The Brussels-based satellite is coordinated by Iris Bucholz and backed up by a number of advisors amongst them, in London by Oladélé Bamgboyé, artist, writer and specialist in new technology; and in Paris by Simon Njami, curator, writer and designer of curatorial formats.
