Lives in Milan and Florence

Marco Scotini is an art critic and independent curator. He is Director of the Visual Arts School and Director of M.A. in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan. He is one of the founding members of Isola Art Center in Milan.
Among recent exhibitions he has curated are Beautiful Banners: Representation, Democracy, Participation, for Prague Biennale 1, 2003; Empowerment, Genoa 2004; Revolutions Reloaded, Milan – Berlin 2004; Produciendo Realidad, Lucca 2004; Acción Directa for Prague Biennale 2 (2005). He is the curator of the travelling project Disobedience. An ongoing video library (Berlin, January–February 2005; Prague, May-September 2005; St. Petersburg, July 2005; Mexico D.F. September 2005; Barcelona July 2006).  
He is co-curator of the international lecture series “The Utopian Display” on contemporary exhibition models and since 2002 he has been curator of the annual series of lectures about public space “Connecting People”.
